When ordering cushion pads you need a pad approximately 2 inches larger than the cushion cover in which you intend to use it in order to achieve a plump finish i.e. an 18 inch pad will fit a 16 inch cover. This of course depends on how plump you wish your cushion to be and the material which the cover is made from.
